This conflict has created instability in the region, forcing local residents to flee their homes for safety reasons. Tensions have escalated, becoming a harsh reality for residents living in the area.

The conflict between Indonesia and the TPNPB-OPM has historical roots and has resulted in a cycle of violence and displacement for communities caught in the crossfire.

The lack of a resolution to the conflict has led to ongoing instability and insecurity, leaving innocent civilians vulnerable to the impacts of ongoing hostilities.

Due to the martial law and escalating tensions, residents of Yahukimo, particularly those living near Mount Kali Teh, are once again forced to flee their homes in search of safety and security.

The impact of this displacement on the community is profound, as many families are displaced from their homes and livelihoods, facing uncertainty and fear for their future.

It is crucial for all parties involved to prioritize the safety and well-being of civilians affected by the conflict and to work towards a peaceful resolution that ensures the protection of human rights and the dignity of the Yahukimo community.

Until a lasting solution is found, the cycle of displacement and suffering is likely to continue, placing a heavy burden on an already vulnerable community.
